We got stuck in the mud again because that's what happens in western Canada in the spring time. We were moving our homestay today from Beaverlodge to a more rural area -- ya know, one that is on a dirt road and doesn't have an address. Surprise! The hand-written directions we were given told us that it was the first right turn when they meant the second! By the time we realized this, our truck was not going anywhere.

Poor Sweeney.

We called our new homestay who came to drag us out of the mud with their truck. Hooray for people who have trucks that are actually equipped for the conditions they live in! Our truck is fully equipped to put on an entire musical production but not for driving through big mud puddles, go figure.

I was not in a good mood when we finally got to our home for the rest of the week, but our homestay has an indoor/outdoor cat that is mostly an outdoor cat who we accidentally let indoors and then ran underneath a bed where it was definitely not supposed to go, so I used my cat whisperer skills and lured it out from its hiding spot when no one else could and we are now buddies. Yay friendship!
